Picnic Table

Lake Bethesda Park II

After I photographed the final images for the client, I decided to walk around a bit to get more shots just in case I needed them. I would share work from my project, but when the client submits this work to publishers, usually some of them don’t want the artwork to have been seen elsewhere. I’ll have to wait and see.

The book cover concept is almost done. The client has to approve it now. It is turning into quite a large file; a composite image made of four unique photographs. It’s my first time trying to composite something this seamless. Usually, I’m not a patient editor, but my “name” is on the line with this assignment. If I take my time throughout, the images can come out very well.

Before I left the park, I decided to take another self-portrait. I guess part of me is counting down the days until I leave my home state again..going some place else I’ve never lived before. But I like to see new places, photograph along the way. Otherwise, it can be boring, especially if there’s not a lot of variety of scenes to shoot. I suppose I’m a bit of an adventurer..and a loner. Just a man and his camera..and his journal..and food, I have to eat. 🙂

By the way, I had too many slurpees this weekend. My oldest niece pointed it out as well, “Wow, Uncle, every time I see you, you have a slushy.” My head is kicking me. 😦 Too much sugar at one time. Plus, it’s after 4am (shocker). I need sleep, more photo editing to do later today.
