I remember my mom telling me when I was a toddler, I loved to chase ducks. Even as I got older, I got excited to see them. Now, I photograph them. There’s always different ways to edit a scene. This time I wanted to create a harmony between the light and shadows going from really deep shadows to intense highlights. The opacity of a black & white filter was lowered to create this color tone. Ultimately, the scene is simplified to emphasize subtle details throughout.

The previous scene of ducks called “Light Falls” shows more of a bird’s eye view with much more detail. I wanted to try something different, more elegant, to give it a different personality.

  1. I can see the ducks now but when I first looked at the picture I couldn’t make them out. Like a hidden eye picture
