I specifically remember taking this shot because it was late at night, the security guard let me photograph the building while he walked to a different area. By the time he got back, I had to be gone. Post-9/11, businesses became even more protective of their property. For a photography student, like I was, it was important to introduce yourself to security personnel and the people who were managing the security personnel.
Ultimately, I did visit the corporate office and signed a form stating none of the images I took would be sold or used commercially. At least two of my favorite architecture photos are from their property…I’m sad. But I’ve kept my word all this time. 🙂
