In my day, we got suspicious if 125k people followed us.
followed follwers suspicion thought
That’s what it feels like in NYC like in the matrix
Yes, but now we want to have thousands of Social Media followers. 🙂
Oh in the social media world, I don’t know how follower growth happens. Only a very small % connect and comment, I’ve met some lovely, helpful and supportive people. I blog because I enjoy it and about my training not trying to please other people or guess what they’ll like.
Hi Lady! I know, this quip is meant to be humorous.
Reblogged this on Charlotte Hoather and commented:
There I was thinking you were talking about the matrix, I don’t really like that film I’ve watched all three of them and I still don’t get them lol.
I used to have all three films (my movie collection was lost in luggage during traveling) yes, they are a bit overly pretentious, but I like the action & characters.
I was thinking about the 1960s, how one person “following” you would be weird. Now on social media, it’s notable to have thousands of Followers. The thinking has changed…well, a little, these are “virtual” followers.
I prefer Legally Blonde 😄.
Oh, the Reese Witherspoon film…
Films x2 and a musical
A musical? I confess, I usually can’t sit through films that sing all the dialogue…especially when it seems more logical just to say it. The only one close, that I like, is “Sound of Music” with Julie Andrews. That is a classic.
Did you watch the Evita film with Madonna? I love all musicals. I saw Ghost in the West End all songs it’s was absolutely brilliant. I know I’ll have won you over when I drag you out to an Opera 😊
Well, I see operas as separate because I “expect” singing in an opera, so it doesn’t bother me. When I go to the movies, it’s about dialogue, character development, and I just want them to tell me what the story is. If they sing through every line, especially with actors not really great at it, I can’t focus.
Yeah my Dad said that about Evita when he first watched it, he was expecting talking in the film and Les Miserable film so I know what you mean.
To your question directly, I have not seen Evita…or Les Miserables. I would rather see an opera than a musical film because in an opera, there’s a stage, costumes, it’s Live…so I’m more engaged in the experience. Plus, everyone is like you, they can sing well.
