Disney Balloons

© 2011 Eric Christopher Jackson

Continuing the subject from yesterday, this is one of my favorite images from South Coast Plaza. Although it’s time-consuming, I painted a Black & White Filter over the background, leaving the balloons in color. The Disney Store was nearby; someone one stand at a small booth to sell these balloons. Again, I used a fish-eye lens with the Canon 50D so the image wouldn’t look so flat. There’s an awkward sense of depth. All the colors with the intense light in the center makes this scene a joy to look at. -ecj

  1. Every time a balloon person was near, I had to capture the moment. Oh how I love balloons. Walking around the Magic Kingdom and passing by a fistful of string… my heart would race. Thank you for the stunning picture, I’m absolutely giddy right now!
