Close-up view of the Friendship Fountain in Jacksonville, Florida.
I have had some time to think about my work in general, which direction I want to go with it. When the article from Creative Fluff Magazine was published on Monday, the headline made me think about my work a bit differently. Although I have always been inspired by fine art, I dared not give myself the title of “Fine Art Photographer.”
I don’t have the skill of the painters & sculptors I admire. Yet, as I thought about the headline, I realized, this has been my goal all along. Instead of using paint brushes, I use a camera. Instead of using a kiln, I use software. I figured, if that is the case, I might as well move further into the fine art category in the way I present my work. (I’m happy).
Tinted Light: Giclee Canvas Gallery Wrap
Size: 16 in. x 24 in.
Initially, Tinted Light was going to be presented without the extra negative space around the photograph. After further consideration, I added it. Hopefully, moving future work further towards a fine art style will make it more expressive.
