Story is the most important part of every film. If the plot is not solid, the movie falls apart. I think The Nightmare Before Christmas is a rare combination of a great plot that is superbly executed. Often times, especially in recent years, the storyline falls far too short of the level of professionalism shown in the special effects. Great visuals. Terrible story.
For the most part, my collection of movie posters will consist of films that have both..the great storyline & awesome visuals. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule. In some cases, I like the visuals so much, even if the film is awful, I have to give the Special Effects team their due credit.
I believe there is a 20th Anniversary Edition for this film. If you’re like me, you don’t mind watching hours of “Behind-the-Scenes” footage to see how a movie you love was created.
