I wanted to share something for the traditional “Throwback Thursday.” Behind me is Lake Michigan off the coast of Chicago. A sheet of ice covers the surface of the lake, but it’s not solid enough to walk on safely. I was amazed at the view. Before this time, I had only seen a large body of water off the East Coast. This is inland..and covered with snow in the distance.
Having only experienced the winters in South Florida, I didn’t know how I would react to such cold weather. For the most part, I was okay..being a tourist, running around like a kid in a candy store. Though I did find out why they call Chicago the Windy City. The wind chill factor is no joke. I only spent the weekend there, but I cherish all the photos I have.
