Talk to Me

What are you doing?”

“You’re not eating. You’re not sleeping.” She pulls him by the arm, “Talk to me!”

“There’s nothing to talk about.”

“Oh, really? What are you doing?”

He works on his project all the more.

“Are you trying to be Superman, now?”

“The thought crossed my mind.”

“I’m sorry. She’s not coming back.”

“You think this will bring her back?”

He shakes his head, no.

“She’s gone.”

He sighs heavily and continues on.

“Talk to me…”

“About what?”

“Tell me how you feel?”

“You’re doing this for her, aren’t you?”

Another sigh, heavily, “No. I need to do this for me. I have to succeed.”

“And then, she’ll come back?”

He leans over his desk all the more thinking, I’ll just ignore her.

“The doctor will have to feed you with a tube…intravenously.”

“Uhh… ill.”

“Yeah. So, get up! Let’s go.”

“No. Leave me alone. I don’t wanna talk about this.”

“Of course, you do,” in a sarcastic tone.

“Oh, how the heck do you know?!”

Carly sits on the desk next to him, tapping her finger on the page.

He looks…

“You’re writing my dialogue. I’m just in your imagination. Oh, nice pen.”

He sits back in his seat as Carly disappears.
