Urban Abstract (2016)

It’s always more difficult to create abstract art because most of my pieces have a clear meaning. Often times, I’m trying to say something in silence. However, there are moments when I simply want to get lost in a scene. This piece was distorted to make it more abstract and improve the Composition. The colors and lighting are less controlled. Like on the edge of exploding, yet, being contained in this space.

When is the work really done? When can I say to myself: Okay, no more editing. Gut feeling. A calm. A peace inside. No more racing thoughts about the possibilities of how a scene can look. It’s done. Then, I move on to the next piece…

That said, I’ve finished all of the re-editing of completed work. I’m excited to see how my style of work will change as we go through this year.

Keep your head up.
