Coming Up for Air (2012)

Collection | Nature
Large: 21 x 32 inches
Style: Soft Edge

Today, we are looking at an old favorite since it’s almost been five years since I captured this scene. (Yikes)! I can still remember standing over the large pond hoping I could freeze a cool moment in time. I was able to as the koi fish were already in a frenzy over feeding time thanks to a few kids wandering by.

Over the years, a few people have asked me how I created this. All the elements within the scene were already there. I simply enhanced everything by deepening the Shadows, boosting the Clarity (highlights)…but there’s no way to plan this out. You just have to be there, at that moment, prepared to capture something and hope for the best.

With Composition of a shot like this, I did the best I could to keep up with the fish’s movements and used a fast Shutter Speed. Again, ultimately, I hoped for the best.

I am working with a new Distributor (ImageKind) because I want to be able to show you guys how my work looks in Frames and on Canvas more effectively. Plus, I hope to make my work more budget-friendly for those who are not avid Art Collectors.

Within the next couple of weeks, I will be adding my all available artwork to the new Gallery. As you sift through my work on this website, you’ll notice a “Buy” Button at the bottom of the art piece. This will take you to the precise work on ImageKind where you can customize your purchase whether on Canvas or Framed.

There are quite a few Options for both, especially for Framed Prints. Mats of various Colors, Frame Styles, Paper Types, etc. I think it will be a good idea to give examples of what’s available so you’re more familiar with everything.

Thank you guys for your patience. Of course, it’s not the only Project I’m working on, but I’ll get into that later. 🙂

Happy Tuesday.
